On average a solar system of approximately 6.6kW with Federal and Victorian Government rebates applied will save $3400 plus a $1400 interest free loan.
The new “Cheaper Batteries for Homes” scheme has commenced and batteries have never been more affordable and reliable. A battery supplied and installed is eligible for a 30% rebate. Battery technology is ever improving and has become safer with Lithium LiFePO₄ batteries.

Federal Government Solar and Battery Incentives
Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) are part of the Federal Government’s Renewable Energy Target. When you install an eligible solar system or battery storage system you create STCs, which act like a financial incentive.
How it works: Each STC represents the expected amount of renewable energy your system will generate up to 2030.
Value: The more STCs your system earns, the bigger the discount. Typically, STCs can reduce solar & battery system costs by up to 30%.
Simple for homeowners: Most installers handle the STC process for you, applying the rebate as an upfront discount on your system price.
Victorian Government Solar & Hotwater Incentives
Hot Water System Rebate
Hot water rebates from $1000 to $1,400 are available for eligible heat pump and solar hot water systems.
A $1,400 rebate to install rooftop solar, plus the option of an interest-free loan. Also available for those building homes, and rental providers .
